Frequently Asked Questions

Where is PPRI located?

Can I foster for PPRI from another state/region?

Can I adopt a dog if I live in another state/region?

How do I meet the dogs?

Can I meet multiple dogs at once?

I want to meet a specific dog without filling out an application

PPRI is based out of East Peoria, Illinois.

No. PPRI requires foster homes to live within 60 miles of Peoria so that the dogs can be treated by our partner vets as needed.

Sometimes. When we cannot find the right home locally, we may consider applications from outside our region. We still require a home visit prior to finalizing the adoption.

You have to fill in an adoption application to set up a meeting with one of our dogs. There is no obligation after filling out the form - if you change your mind, just let us know.

We have regular "Outreach Events" where multiple available fosters will be in attendance. Not all available fosters attend every Outreach event.

If the dog is attending an Outreach Event, then you can meet them at that event. We try to post the dogs attending on Facebook the day before. Otherwise, please fill our a no-obligation application to meet the dog.
