Available adoptable dogs @ Pet Pack Rescue
We have more than the dogs pictured here available to adopt or foster-to-adopt. Check out our Petfinder or Facebook page to keep updated. If you are interested in meeting them and pursuing adoption, you will need to fill out an application located here: Adoption Page
Foster parents have final say on placement of their foster pets. PPRI requires pets in the home to be current on rabies, heartworm prevention (dogs), vaccines, and be fixed (with a few exceptions.) We require a home visit and do NOT ship or transport dogs.
Flex - Born 9/1 - Mixed. Adoption: $325

Flex is an 8 – 9 month old mixed breed from Louisiana and weighs about 30 pounds. He loves to play with the big dogs in the house and will play fetch for hours! He knows sit, drop it, leave it, and walks well on a leash. He is learning his other household manners as he thinks he is cat and loves to jump on counters but a quick reminder of off and he is back on the floor. He keeps his crate clean and is doing great with potty training.
Flex loves to spend time cuddling, laying on the couch, or playing outside. He will even help you clear the sticks in your yard by bringing them to you—of course, he may bring them in the house if you are not careful! He is full of puppy energy and would do best with a fenced yard for him to run or an active family to take him for walks or hikes.
Iris - 3yrs - Labradoodle. Adoption: $350

Hi, it’s me Iris, I am pretty shy and take a long time to warm up to humans so don’t be mad if it takes me a long time to get used to you. I was a breeder release and I’m still adjusting to this whole family life thing. I love other dogs and get along with cats. I want to trust humans but I’m still learning that they aren’t all scary. I like my kennel and it is my safe place, I retreat to it any time I am scared or just for a second to make sure it didn’t disappear. I do pretty well with going potty outside but sometimes I get scared or don’t remember to wait. Since I get scared easily, I need a home with a fenced in yard too.
Clyde - 4yrs - Mixed. Adoption: $300

Clyde is a 3-5 year old mixed breed bundle of cuddles and love. He spent 2 years at a small animal control where he was overlooked time and time again. Staff loved him and we understand why! Smart and eager to please, he picks up on training and is praise motivated. Clyde is dog friendly. Clyde is about 75 lbs full grown. Kid friendly is an added bonus with this pup! If you want a bit of a lazy lug that will enjoy meeting your friends on game night, this is the dog for you.
Pepper - 9 Years - Cockapoo. Adoption: $250

Very loyal 9 yr old cockapoo. He loves going outside for walks and trots. More than that, he loves cuddling on the couch. He is shy and timid at first but gains confidence every day. He keeps a clean kennel, but very much prefers to be outside the kennel when sleeping. Since he loves to be with you at all times, he could be a trip hazard. Also, if he fits the hole or can jump the fence, he will, in order to be with you. We found he is not really interested in treats or dog toys right now. He walks well on the leash, but doesn't know any commands.
Dot - 2 Years - Pit Mix. Adoption: $300

Hi! My name is Dot (my mom calls me Dottie)!I am a 2 year old pitbull who loves to run and play, but also take time to relax with my foster mom and pup. I am super energetic, very sweet, and obedient. I get along with cats and other dogs, but small animals are food to me; so I must try and capture them. I enjoy playing with toys especially bones and walking with my foster mom. I’m still learning the leash, but I’m a quick learner so I’ll get the hang of it with a bit of training. Speaking of learning my mom says I’m super smart. She said I listen to commands like stop and no. I also know “sit” and I’m practicing laying down. I like to go in my crate to lay down, but it’s not my favorite place and if you don’t want me to stay in one that’s okay. I promise I’m not destructive. I am a very sweet girl who is ready for her FURever family!
Tobias - - Mixed. Adoption: $300

Tobias was a stray that was super shut down at animal control. They gave him a week to find his owner or head to rescue after the hold was up. His foster mom stepped in and now he is thriving! Dog, cat, and young child friendly, Toby is an active and energetic boy. He loves his people and will be looking for a new family soon!
Dixie - 1.5 Years - Amstaff Mix. Adoption: $300

Dixie is a 45 to 50lb lab pitty mix. She loves to go outside and play, as well as be a couch potato. She is doing well with potty training, but do expect some accidents in the transition to a new home. She is crate trained and keeps her crate clean. She would do best with another dog as well as a fenced in yard. Dixie is also heartworm positive, but that doesn’t stop her at all
Maggie - Born 12/10 - Lab/Mastiff. Adoption: $325

LAB AND MASTIFF mix female! Josie is 15 weeks old and absolutely wonderful. She is very affectionate and loves to play. She is dog, cat, and child friendly and seems to pick up on commands well too.
Chopper - 6 Yrs - Pittie Mix. Adoption: Sponsored!

Chopper is a 75 lb pittie mix, can be energetic but usually pretty laid back. He can get pretty excited meeting new people. He loves to sit and watch out the window along with curling up on the couch for naps. He really doesn’t know how big he is when he climbs into your lap and his favorite is burrowing down in the covers at bedtime. He rides well in the car, doesn’t potty in the house and keeps his crate clean. He’s typically the first one in his crate once he hears the treat bag! Chopper plays well with his two foster sisters but does need slow intros and may not be alright with other male dogs. A privacy fenced yard is strongly preferred. He loves to chew on Nyla bones and play tug of war with rope toys. Chopper is quite strong and will require someone familiar with large bully breeds.

Kona is a 5yo Shepherd mix that loves to be with her people. Kona is potty trained, knows sit, shake, lay down, talk sh*t (speak) and is very treat motivated. She is dog friendly with proper introductions and would do best with a calmer doggy sibling. Kona is also cat friendly. Kona would love a yard with a privacy fence as she is very athletic and can jump over shorter fences. She would love an active family since she is still a very active dog. Her ideal day would be to play fetch and run around in the yard or to even go on a hike with her family. Then at night, she loves to get cozy and snuggle under the blankets with you.

Maisey - 1 Years - Pit Mix. Adoption: $325

Maisey is a playful pitbull mix. She is around forty pounds and her tail never stops wagging. She did well with kids at her first PPRI outing. She keeps her crate clean and sleeps through the night in it. She is also housebroken. Maisey has done well with our blind cat. She would do better in home with a male dog. She tends to want to assert herself with our other female dog. This could change with other temperaments. Maisey LOVES to play and is super cuddly.
Janie - 1.5 Years - Lab/Pit Mix. Adoption: $300

**FOSTER-TO-ADOPT ONLY** Hi! I’m Janie and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a happy playful energetic terrier mix and I love to meet new friends. I’m great with kids, potty trained and keep a clean crate. I am heart worm positive but it doesn’t slow me down. I love to chew on bones, toys, and would love a dog friend to play with! I love to be around my people so I can keep an eye on things. If I can’t convince you to play with me I will accept snuggles and belly rubs instead. They say I’m around 1 1/2 years old and I would love to find my forever home to recover from my heart worm treatment!
Hoss - 2yrs - Plott Hound Mix. Adoption: $300

Hoss The Handsome Hound! Hoss is a 2-3 year old Plot Hound mix from VillaLobos Rescue center in Louisiana. He made his way up to Illinois and joined the Pet Pack Crew. Hoss loves kids of all ages and other dogs. We are still working on cats. He is crate trained and he does well with house training. I'm Still working on learning his cues. Hoss loves his stuffies the most out of all of his dog toys. Hoss also doesn't " Wag" his tail back and forth. He " Spins" it like a clock. He would be the perfect addition to just about any family. I would definitely recommend a fenced in yard. He's very much a hound so he would be one to wonder to track down a scent for sure. He's a big lover boy for sure!
Marty - 8 Months - Mixed. Adoption: $325

Marty is a lively Carolina dog who weighs around 40 pounds. He is a curious and energetic pup, always eager to explore his surroundings and discover new things. He can be quite stubborn at times, but he is also very affectionate and loves being around people.
Marty enjoys playing with toys, but can be a little possessive of them when there are other dogs around. He is dog selective, meaning he may not get along with every dog he meets.
Potty training is a work in progress for Marty, but he has shown improvement over time. He is still young and has much to learn, but he is making progress. He tolerates being in a kennel and is working on becoming more comfortable with it.
Overall, Marty is a delightful pup with a lot of personality. With continued training and socialization, he is sure to grow into a wonderful companion.
